Southern Chill $7500 purse February 14th-16th

Clear your schedule for February 14-16th 2013. Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas (just outside Houston, Tx) is hosting the Southern Chill Modlite/Outlaw Dwarf Nationals. This will be the first race on the brand new surface, and it is going to be a fast track.

This race is paying:
$1200 to win
2nd-$800
3rd-$700
4th-$600
5th-$500
6th-$400
7th-$300
8th-$200
9th-$175
10-26th $150
and all non-qualifiers get $50.

There is a $100 Entry fee for this race. The schedule is open practice Thursday Feb 14th, heats and qualifiers are Friday Feb 15th, Mains and LCQ's are Saturday Feb 16th.

As far as rules, it will be based on Texana, Battleground, Gulf Coast, North Texas Stars, etc. Here is a basic list of rules:
Outlaw dwarf must weigh 1240lbs, and they are allowed to run a biscuit or spring bar on rear suspension.
Modlites must weigh 1275, and they must run solid bars on rear suspension.
Stock 1000cc engines 2010 and older (aftermarket stacks, filter, and oil pan allowed)
Carb engines older than 2001 can be built as long as 1250cc or smaller
Goodyear G45 or G50 tires ONLY
Any Steel body shock allowed up to 7"

This is going to be a very fun weekend, it's in the middle of the country, and the weather will be nice. Camping is allowed at the track, and there are tons of cars expected!! Come on down! Good work guys. I hear racing in TEXAS is going to be good next year. We have at least 10 races on the schedule that pay $1000 or more to win. Racing with ASCS Sprint cars a couple times even I hear. Sounds like fun.

Pretty sure that rule is for a real Classic, not a mod lite converted to look like one. Maybe someone can clear us up on that one.
