2013 TUSA Rules Update
On Friday, November 30, 2012, 5 representatives from the US and Canada met at the PRI Trade Show in Orlando, FL. The primary focus of the meeting was to update our engine program to meet our current needs while maintaining the best possible regulations to remain cost effective. As a result of the discussion, TUSA is proposing a NEW 2 plan engine program. Plan "A" will be implemented for the clubs and tracks that are mandating stock and spec engines only with weight requirements of 1260 for stock engines and 1300 for spec engines. Plan "B" will include all three engine programs stock, spec, and the addition of open motors which will weigh 1375. TUSA will include the 2009, 2010, and 2011 engines for competition in 2013 but these engines must be run in the stock program only.
In addition, TUSA will be introducing a set of IMCA body specifications to meet the members that would like to resemble the IMCA body style.
At this time these are the major areas that were addressed. All other rules will remain unchanged.
The above considerations will be reviewed for final approval and be posted before the end of the month.
