02 GSXR Instrument cluster wiring question

I have a cut down harness that was done quite a few years ago by Barker electronics and I didn't have him wire in the instrument cluster. I now have a cluster and wired it up a while back to test it and the low fuel light was illuminated. I am now ready to install it permanently and want to figure out how to keep the low fuel light from coming on. How do I go about this? I would suspect that I need a resistor of some sort to put in the wiring. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Try a 10 ohm resistor between the wire and ground

On the GSXR there are two wires that go to the cluster. I am having a new frame built and the engine and harness are at the fab shop for a couple months.

I guess worse case I just cut the led out of the cluster and pull the wires from the connector if that is an option and won't mess anything else up.
