    08 r1 headers

    Hi everyone.
Its probably been asked but where can I get some headers for an 08 r1?
Does any of the other makes have the same exhaust port configuration?
    Thanks

You could modify a set of headers to fit your car. As long as the tubing is the right size and you don't stray too far away from the routing. You can cut and rotate bends. Tig weld it all together and your set.

Today I took the headers off my other car. gsxr 1000 (in a pro). They are the type that is held in the merge collector by springs. Guess what, perfect fit on the engine. Who would have known. Pitty they don't fit in the frame. I need a brand that is set to the rear and not the front. Thanks for all the input gents.

You are running in to one of the problems with "off the shelf" headers. Thereare so many different manufactures of car, different motor and mountings etc. Sometimes you are lucky one fit or can be modified a little to fit. It's exspenive, but sometimes you have go have a set made.
