The first Blackhawk Mod lite chassis is under construction

I'll give you all a brief introduction. I've been around a race shop since I was a kid, we built and ran hobby stocks while growing up and I always loved the building just as much if not more then the racing. The shop closed in 02 with the owners passing from cancer. I then started my own little fab shop in my garage and started to build winged outlaw kart cages since they were small and cheap . Over the winter I seen an add for a guy looking to get rid of his dwarf car and took a shot on seing if he would like to trade for a kart. Well the deal went down. I have always loved the class and wanted to drive one and had the room to tools that I would need to build them. My intention was to run it for a while and learn how they act and use that to design my own mod lite chassis next winter. As most things go in my life that plan made a big change when I got the car home put my seat in it and realized I wouldn't fit in it and feel safe without converting it to a mod lite. so by the time I figured in what all would need to be changed I decided I am just going to jump in with both feet and build the new car and save the dwarf chassis for my son to run in a couple years. so enough of my rambling here are a few pics of what I have so far please feel free to offer any advice I'm just going off what I have learned over the years in hobby stocks, mods and karts and looking at web pics and the dwarf car I have to build this first one.

still in the works. I tried using the front suspention off a dwarf I had bought but it had way to much bump steer for me so I have started to build my own and got a set of leader spindles. My club went with the 1000cc only rule so I pretty much put it on the back burner beings I didn't have the funds for a new engine and they wouldn't even let me just tag the back and turn laps for no points with my 1100 oil cooled motor. I'm hoping to have it done this year as I found a track that will let me test and tune it once I get it done
